During an approx 1 hour stay in the village you will be able to interact with the Masai people and getting a glimpse into their culture. They will show you how to make fire, how they are living and their houses, jumping very high and many other things. The entry fees for the Masai Village are $30 per person but this cultural experience is really worth it. During your stay you may be expected to buy some handcrafted souvenirs. This is not a must as you have to pay entry fees but be prepared that they will definitely make efforts trying to sell you some nice things. This might feel unpleasant for some people, but the income from this handcrafted souvenirs is definitely a benefit for the the village people and you have a nice and memorable souvenir which is not that expensive.
The drive to the village from the camp is only 5-10 minutes.
As the villages are outside the park, you won‘t have to pay the park fees if you are not planning to do safaris the same day. Most of our guests are planning to visit the Masai village in the afternoon of their arrival day or the morning of their departure day.
